Our Story
Our Story
Seric began with a simple question:
What if coffee were filtered more gently?
Paper filters remove too much.
Metal filters let too much through.
We wanted something in between — something natural, precise, and quiet.
That search led us to silk.
Why Silk
Silk has been used for centuries where delicacy and control matter.
It is a natural protein fiber, strong yet soft, capable of filtering without forcing.
Unlike paper or synthetic materials, silk does not rely on bleaching or chemical bonding.
It does not aggressively absorb coffee oils.
It allows the coffee to keep its character.
For us, silk was not a design choice.
It was a functional one.
A Filter Made for Balance
The Seric silk coffee filter is designed to sit between paper and metal filtration.
It allows aroma and body to pass through, while keeping sediment under control.
The result is a cup that feels clean, rounded, and full — without excess.
This balance is what we were looking for.
Thoughtful by Nature
Seric is not about speed or convenience.
Our filter is reusable, washable, and designed to last with simple care.
It encourages a slower approach to brewing — rinsing instead of discarding, attention instead of habit.
Sustainability, for us, is not a claim.
It is a practice.
A Quiet Ritual
Silk feels different in the hand.
Light, soft, calm.
Using it changes the pace of brewing, even slightly.
It invites care — and gives something back in return.
This is what Seric stands for.
One Filter
We started with one product, and one idea:
Coffee deserves to be filtered with restraint, respect, and balance.
That is the story of Seric.
